VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (June 28, 2023) — Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, and Tidewater Tech solidified an articulation agreement with Columbia Southern University (CSU) to assist graduates of skilled trades programs in obtaining associate and bachelor’s degrees. The articulation agreement, signed recently, provides clear pathways for the transfer of credits from any of the twenty campuses in the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, and Tidewater Tech family of schools to Columbia Southern University.
Graduates of Aviation Maintenance, Automotive Maintenance, HVAC, Business, Welding and Medical programs are eligible to transfer up to 66 credits to CSU, depending on the program completed and the program selected. The number of transfer credits accepted is determined solely by the receiving institution. Additionally, CSU has provided a Learning Partnership discount of 10% for all courses completed at CSU to AIM, Centura College and Tidewater Tech students, faculty, staff, and their families.
“We are proud to add Columbia Southern to the list of quality universities who will accept credits from our graduates of our institutions, so that our graduates can pursue higher academic degrees,” said Dr. Joel English, Executive Vice President of AIM, Centura College, and Tidewater Tech. “While our programs prepare students with the industry-recognized certifications needed to earn meaningful employment, CSU will be providing the degree programming that will allow our graduates to move from skilled professionals to business and industry leaders.”
