ARLINGTON, Va. (Sept. 20, 2023) – The Houston, Texas campus of Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) has been recognized by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) as a 2022-2023 School of Distinction. During their annual three-day Professional Development Conference, ACCSC recognizes accredited institutions that have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of accreditation as well as a commitment to delivering quality educational programs.
AIM Houston received Initial Accreditation from ACCSC in 2008 and was recently reaccredited for a 5-year period beginning in 2020. The School of Distinction designation reflects AIM Houston’s commitment to maintaining high standards of education and training, as demonstrated by successfully completing the reaccreditation process and satisfying all criteria required to be in good standing with the Commission.

AIM Houston provides hands-on aviation maintenance training to a current population of over 275 students who will have the opportunity to become Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-certificated Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) upon completion of AIM’s 21-month program and the FAA examinations. Boeing predicts a need for 125,000 technicians in North America from 2023-2042 and AIM’s 14 campuses are focused on providing training and building the pipeline of future aircraft mechanics.
